Liz Brundy

canon: Brimstone
canon point: Her death (End of film)
canon cw: Violence, violence against women, gore, torture, murder, rape, incest, dark themes.

brief bio: A midwife and mother from the West. She's described by her daughter as a warrior. She's without a past that she cares to share or speak of. She's determined to survive. Pain, hurt and loss don't stop her. She keeps moving forward, far and away from the demons that haunt her.
relationship status: Widowed; comes with a lot of baggage

apparent age: 20s (Never stated directly)
appearance: Here
identifying marks; She has a scar on the back of her neck.

mental state: Dealing with buried PTSD, the after effects of her death and long ignored loss that she hasn't dealt with, Liz is carrying some heavy baggage. She's in a dark place after having committed suicide. The setting is similar to the Mountains when she was fleeing the Reverend, so it will take her back to that time. No one will know her, which will appeal to her and let her feel she can start a new life, but when things start going wrong and horror pops up, it will almost seem inevitable to her. She'll be standoffish, paranoid and suspicious of everything.

ABILITIES
She was a midwife, has basic knowledge of first aid. She lived on a farm, so she has survival skills. Cooking, cleaning, wood cutting, etc. She understands English and Dutch, but can only communicate by sign language as she has no tongue.

IC PERMISSIONS

physical affection: She's not big on touching. If you are extremely close to her, then yes. Otherwise, better to keep your hands to yourself.
flirting: She'll likely ignore it, but I always welcome it, just to see what comes out of it.
relationships: I'm open, but it has to develop over time. Given her canon and experiences, she's wary of letting her guard down in that way. She's lost two people she's loved, so she lives with a constant fear of it happening again. But, that being said, I love when unexpected ships happen and if it comes up, I'm open to exploring.
sex: See above, but probably going to be no unless special circumstances
fighting: I'm open to it, but under the right circumstances. She's less of a physical fighter and more of a shoot you in the face or burn you with a lantern fighter.
injury/death: Talk to me first.
psychic information: Under the right circumstances. There's triggering stuff up there.
triggers: Nothing springs to mind, but I'll communicate if there is anything I'm uncomfortable with.

Brimstone is a dark, triggery film with several disturbing themes. These include violence, violence against women, animal death, gore, rape, and incest. For scenes, I'll be careful in how such things are mentioned or talked about, particularly labeling them. However, if you are uncomfortable with any of this and would prefer to opt out, please feel free to comment below and I'll bear that in mind. If you don't mind interacting with her, but want to avoid certain topics, post them below.

Liz is also a mute and is forced to communicate by sign language or notes. This, I understand, might be too much of a challenge for some to play against. Much like above, feel free to opt out of interacting with her, if you prefer. I would prefer to ensure player comfort than anything else.

Feel free to contact me at [plurk.com profile] ladylils if you have any further concerns.

OOC

*Backtagging: Yes, absolutely. I'm a bit slow for health reasons, so backtagging is the best.
*Threadhopping: Absolutely. Just give me a quick heads up.
*Fourth Walling: I'd rather not. Fourth wall has always been difficult for me to mess with in game. It's better to keep things a bit grounded.
*Friending: Of course! I'm at [plurk.com profile] ladylils
*Canon Warning: Brimstone is full of dark, triggering material. It's basically the Game of Thrones of Westerns, complete with violence, violence towards women, incest, abuse, and mutilation. I'm going to be extremely careful how I approach these topics and always give warnings when they come up. If this is too much for you, I completely understand. I have an Opt Out post. Or if you're willing to risk it, but have certain topics you'd want to avoid, just let me know. The most important thing is making my cr partners comfortable, don't be afraid to talk to me.
*IC =/= OOC: Communication is key for me. The last thing I want is for there to be misunderstandings or problems to develop. RP is meant to be fun. Feel free to talk to me at any point, even if it seems small.

IC

*Platonic Physical Contact: Only if you are close friends with her. She's not too big on touching otherwise.
*Romantic/Sexual Physical Contact: I'm open, but it has to develop over time. Given her canon and experiences, she's wary of letting her guard down in that way. She's lost two people she's loved, so she lives with a constant fear of it happening again. But, that being said, I love when unexpected ships happen and if it comes up, I'm open to exploring.
*Violent Physical Contact: I'm open to it, but under the right circumstances.
*Mindreading: Talk to me first.
*Killing/Death: If you have an idea for a plot, let me know. We can discuss ideas.
